You arrive at Morgan Everett’s well-appointed home. Toby is very gracious. Head on through the door beyond him.

In the dining room, speak with the maid who tells you not to disturb Lucius DeBeers. Speak with her repeatedly to learn that she probably should have not mentioned his name. Go through the door on the right (East).

Recharge at the repair bot if you need to. Keep heading along the passageway.

At this junction go left.

20250817102357 1

Here you find Alex Jacobson, who tells you Tracer Tong has loaned him to Everett to work on the vaccine’s encryption, and that Tong does not trust Everett or the Illuminati. Speak to him again to learn that Tracer Tong is behaving strangely, and has left Hong Kong. A datacube nearby has the password pynchon, and also mentions "Lucius". On a hunch I try meverett/pynchon on the PC which gets me an email with 2 codes: 2384 and 6426 to some suspension crates—sounds like augmentation tech might be nearby. Another door beyond Alex is locked and requires a keycode, but neither of the ones in the email work. Go back to the corridor and go left up to Everett’s lab.

You’re awarded 500 skill points for finding Everett. After quite a lengthy conversation you learn you’re to fly to the Vandenberg Airforce Base and meet Gary Savage who is working on a Universal Constructor. He’ll remind you to visit Alex if you speak with him again. The codes 2384 and 6426 work on the keypads to access 2 augmentation canisters and an upgrade canister.

Before you leave use the credentials meverett/pynchon on the security console. The camera on the right is showing something we’ve not seen yet—might deserve a bit of a closer look around.

Head back to Alex’s room and the use the medical bot to install the augmentation canisters from Everett’s lab along with the one collected earlier. My Vision Enhancement is already at Tech 4, but I upgrade Spy Drone and EMP Shield. I’ve been carrying an upgrade canister since meeting Dowd at the Cemetary, so have 2 upgrades for the health Regeneration augmentation bringing that to Tech 3.

Heading back to towards the entrance I notice a door not yet explored, just outside the dining area. It turns out to be Morgan Everett’s (en-suite) bedroom.

20250817123338 1

There’s little of interest in the bedroom itself, but the bathroom is much more interesting. A short search turns up not only this "unlocked" mirror, but a nanokey for the aquarium, hidden behind the plant on the shelves, shown in the reflection here. Opening the mirror reveals a locked door. I could have used the Dragon’s Tooth sword, but I decided that politeness demanded the 2 lockpicks.

You receive 100 skill points for entering Lucius DeBeers' prison. He is being kept in cryo-stasis, but you can communicate with him. He claims to be the real leader of the Illuminati, and complains of being cold. If you speak with him you receive a new secondary goal to tell Everett. On a shelf nearby is the code 8001 to the "Morpheus Room".

20250817153147 1

Return to Alex Jacobson’s room, and the locked door just beyond it. The code 8001 opens the door revealing that Morpheus is an experimental AI. Speak with it repeatedly to discover what it thinks about human civilisation, God, and unrestricted surveillance. It also admits to being a prototype for a much more powerful system called Echelon IV.

20250817154402 1

Return to Everett and inform him that Lucius DeBeers is cold. Everett owns up that he has no intention of restoring DeBeers' body. Question him further about Morpheus and learn that Daedalus and Echelon IV are actually the same thing.

20250817154336 1

The door to the aquarium is in the lab here, opened by your key.

20250817154448 1

Swim through the tunnel to earn 50 skill points and some darts.

20250817155610 1

Return to Lucius DeBeers. You’re given the option of revealing Everett’s deception. You can even kill DeBeers via the security console (the credentials meverett/pynchon work here too). I tell DeBeers the truth but leave him alive—I don’t trust the Illuminati, either.

20250817154542 1

Return to the entrance where Toby Atanwe still sits next to the door to the helipad.

20250817160044 1

At the top of the stairs Jock radios in to say he’s been waiting for you. You receive 50 skill points for reaching the helipad. Speak to the orange-suited engineer. He seems a little…odd. Grab a LAM from a nearby crate.

20250817160338 1

Just inside the door I notice this grate. Inside is a biocell and multitool. Then I notice that the floor grate is breakable.

20250817160752 1

Drop down and examine the body for 25 skill points. I am now very suspicious of the engineer I spoke to a moment ago. Time to go see Everett again.

20250817161027 1

Everett tells you his mechanic—Pierre—is French and has never visited America. Return to the helipad.

20250817161326 1

Question the mechanic and he turns and runs. Knock him out before he draws a gun and starts shooting. You can return to Everett and report in, but I’m tired of all the back-and-forth.

20250817162000 1

I speak to Jock and tell him about the phony engineer. He checks the systems and discovers a bomb. If you don’t discover the imposter (speak to the mechanic first, then report to Everett) the bomb is never discovered, causing Jock to die later. For now, it’s time to head to Vandenberg.
